and waves keep passing on
But the ship keeps a-steaming
on down to Whitefish Point
We loaded at Wisconsin

but murky clouds I see
When I hear that wind a-howling
I'm scared as I can be
I bet there's wind a-blowing

The waves strike over the gunwale
it's eleven Beaufort storm

I hope the hatches are on
Another boat's ahead us
that "Arthur M. Anderson"
If I'd ever find a life vest
or a lifeboat of my own
I'd bet I'd be much safer -
I really fear this storm
But our Skipper Ed McSorley
sure knows what can be done
He's confident and radioed:
"We're holding on our own"

I'll tell ya, life wasn't easy for a boat named Edmund.
Yup. Her last 25 minutes to go were true walk on the line. She would have fared better if she had sailed the big river.
You took one of the songs I was planning to use. Oh well, there are plenty more fish in the sea. Or maybe I'll rest a "Spell". You did a good job with this Johnny Cash classic. I wonder who else is going to take the plunge with this "contest"?
