i'm home with mommy
after school
in any season
don't need no reason
for makin' cookies

a bowl to use
the batter, nice
cookbook in service
we checked it twice
in kitchen, millin'
the smell is thrillin'
we're makin' cookies

i love the chocolate chips best
into the bowl, i fling
we're gonna have a munch fest
into our mouths, we'll fling

laid out some dishes
in lovely rows
fulfill our wishes
by bakin' dough
they're made with egg yolks
i'm gonna beg, folks
to make some cookies

the oven cleared
cleaned up the mess
it brings us cheer
feels like we're blessed
i'm in a tizzy
so let's get busy
and eat some cookies

cookies make life so sunny
happy enough to purr
so good inside my tummy
never an ache occurs

some folks love fudge
both dark and pale
some folks enjoy it
even stale
but these are sweeter
i lick the beater
while makin' cookies
