About ten years ago, I had a severe infection on both of my big toes caused by ingrown toenails. Since I was homeless for several years, I was never able to get them medically treated. I had the bloody, oozing sores for six years until I was finally receiving Social Security and Medicare benefits. I wrote this song as a testament to my pain and suffering, and also as a deterrent to sing to those unfortunate people who saw my feet and got totally grossed out. This song was written in 2006 after I had been suffering for over three years with these infected sores. I grew up having ingrown toenails all the time when I was younger, but thankfully ever since I had the surgery in 2009, I haven't had a single ingrown toenail since. Many thanks to my doctor, who made the surgery relatively painless, and cured me from any further foot pain.
