At the stroke of midnight on Sunday night, Christmas In July stumbled to an end (much like 2010!). I probably should have used Auld Lang Syne for the finale, but this is my favorite New Year's song. I now have a series under my belt and greatly enhanced respect for those who have written them here. Now that I have increased options in original song selection, I have no idea where to go from here. ;D
It's sad but tue - all things must have their ends.
So I must ask - this question of my friends:
How did you like this Christmas - In July?
Twenty-one songs - all sticking to a theme.
Sometimes this task - would make me swear and scream.

Holiday take-offs I have made
While it's one-hundred in the shade.
'Though I am frying - I'm really trying - to be sly.
So if each song - was not a masterpiece,
It gave Old Rib - a forum for release.
That's why I did this Christmas - In July.

Now I'm on Santa's naughty list.
For no good reason - I made the season - go awry.
But in five months - I'll right these many wrongs.

It's hard to imagine, in this heat wave, that in just a few months we'll be freezing our arses off and dreaming of sunshine. I enjoyed your Christmas in July series, was inspired to do one of my own. Now I have something to look forward to in December.
I, also enjoyed your "Chris-twist" parodies...Keep it going, still more Xmas songs out there..this one is fine tuned, per usual.
