Bob, I don't mean to be a dufus, but are you saying that you'd rather see naked people than people with a tiny bit of clothes? I'm not making a judgment, I'm just wanting to understand your line of thought here.
Hmmm..I thought it was by Joe Raposo. I'll have to check on that. And Royce, yes, it is the narrator's (not necessarily my) view that naked people are more aesthetically pleasing than people in thongs. Just a silly thought.

Yes. The narrator is my creation, but is not me. The narrator is a fictitious character. Sometimes parody is more effective, I think, when a quirky narrative voice is created, or a real person (Bush, Cheney, etc.) is assigned as the imaginary singer. In this way, the beliefs and actions of the narrator are the objects of satire. That's how I see it, anyway. Have fun, keep writing!
Olvan, you gotta remember, the Carpenters covered everything, from "Ticket to Ride" by the Beatles to "Reason to Believe" by Tim Hardin to "Please Mr. Postman" by the Marvelettes, with which they actually hit Number 1. Somebody once said that if record producer Phil Spector had a Wall of Sound (no doubt to cover up gunfire), then Richard Carpenter built a Wall of Mush. That somebody had no idea how right he was.
