The Lyrics
"Brexit" is a name given to the departure of Great Britain, or more accurately the United Kingdom, from the European Union (EU)). A policy option advocated by many in the Conservative Party and Ukip in the post-2005 period. This parody was published in the New European journal late in 2018, when that separation seemed imminent and Theresa May was the prime minister of the UK. At publication date, Liam Fox was a British Conservative MP and Jean-Claude Juncker was the President of the European Commission, a post he had occupied since 1/11/2014.
It’s Brexit time, there’s no need to be afraid
At Brexit time, we won’t need French or Spanish trade
And in our world of plenty we can say a word of thanks
So ‘well done’ to Facebook and to Arron Banks
But say a prayer, pray for our former mates
At Brexit time, thank God that we’re out the gates
There’s a world inside the EU
And it’s a world of dread and fear
Where the only liquids flowing
Are Jean-Claude Juncker’s beers
And when he met Theresa May, he called her nebulous

Original article in The New European article. The "Brexit bus" referred to was a chartered coach that carried slogans and campaigners around the UK, prior to a referendum held in June 2016. "Dough" is used here as a slang term for cash.
