another one last week
its an epidemic out of hand
germs from nooks and crannies
in this coughing lady's mouth
who makes a living with her pots and pans

typhoid mary...is cooking lunch again
she comes in contact
and folks never feel the same
wiped out the whole village
when the people tried her gruel
then they jack-knifed, faltered, dropped right off
its cruel

serving up some ground round
and it killed off girls and boys
the lather 'round their mouths a fetching gray
and maybe there's distention
or some phlegm inside their lungs
their organs are all failing, as they lay

she's a virus-rich girl
and she's mingling among
she's a good health stealer
and she keeps it spreading strong
she's a menace full of malice
and she'll kill you before long
