Consistency is important. With my "Are You Liberal Tonight" parody, I mentioned that both dominant political parties are fair game, as I have no use for either.This is for all of us Libertarians and those in general that value freedom over political expediency.

In case you don't know or aren't from Texas, Ron Paul (R-TX) was the 1988 Libertarian Party presidential candidate. He is now a GOP rep from Texas. Still has maintained his Constitutionally limited government abilities and earned the name "Dr. No" since he tends to vote no on a lot of what the Congress tries to shove through.

This one wasn't very good either. Though working in the name "Doctor No" helped, Ron Paul is nuts. This guy was the one Congressman who voted against a Congressional Gold Medal for "Peanuts" creator Charles Schulz. That's just un-American. Or, as Schulz himself might put it, "Auuuugh! I can't stand it!" Paul is now a Texas Republican? News flash: The first qualification for that is rampant corruption. The second is blatant stupidity. And the third is total psychosis. And he certainly qualifies on the third.
Well done, Joe. I voted for Ron Paul in 1988 and wish there were more congressmen like Representative Paul. John Berthoud, president of the National Taxpayers Union, has said, "Ron Paul has always proven himself to be a leader in the fight for taxpayer rights and fiscal responsibility....No one can match his record on behalf of taxpayers." It would appear that Mr. Pacholek doesn't care about taxpayers.
Why did Ron Paul vote against giving congressional recognition to Charles Schulz (as well as Rosa Parks and Mother Theresa)? It might seem trivial, but it really is not an appropriate function of government to finance these awards. Michael- I think you won't like anything I write. But that's ok. Having never met you, I'm sure you're a tolerant and sensitive guy. And remember, if you're not offended, I'm not doing my job. Toodles.
I care about taxpayers, John. That's why I vote Democratic. What I don't care about is a bunch of filthy-rich whiners. As the great Colonel Cueball, James Carville, says, "There's only one thing a Republican hates more than fair taxation. And that's a fair fight." And when Democrats raise taxes on the rich, the budget deficit goes down, and wages go up in relation to inflation, and everybody benefits, which the people your ilk calls "the achievers" can't stand, because it means "the little people" stand a better chance of achieving, and you hate that. Ron Paul doesn't need votes, he needs a rubber room.
Micheal- Your use of Democrat talking points is amazing. "Little guy" and "the rich". Being so subjective,you cannot define either one in a manner that doesn't make you come off as a welfare statist. Constitution say promote the general welfare, not pay for it of subsidize. They are mutually exclusive topics. The "little people" will stand a better chance of achiveing once they get off their Barcaloungers, get educated, and make life choices that ill direct them the way they need to go. If you choose to work at 7-Eleven for minimun wage and expect for support a familiy on that, you must have a few dim bulbs upstairs. You are the sum of all of the choices you have ever made. You have no one else to blame for your lot in life except you.
Maybe one good thing about all the endless republican vs. democrat partisan bitching is that more people will get a clue, ditch both parties, and go libertarian. But probably not.
