This had some good lines. I know you're gonna hate me for this...I like disco.
(Amiright Idol) I made it quite clear that this was quite a funny title at the MB. It seems quite a stretch to mix Doogie Howser with childhood cruelty. IB is right, though, there are some funny lines...for me, it's so many ideas with not enough time to gel in the lyrics allotted.
(Idol) Songs like this OS are best used for ideas that don't have a lot to work with, I bet you could fill up 5 or 6 of these with this topic. Sometimes a topic needs more lines to develop, there's not much you could have done with development on this one. It paced well, and I liked the idea, but left me with a feeling of "Is That It?"--kinda like when I go to the movies and a 3 hour movie is turned into a 1.5 hour movie. . .
Congrats on a first song/submission to Amiright, Wolverine. I'm not sure what more you could have done with the song... the name drops are lost on me - I guess they are characters from Doogie Howser, but it's been like 15 years since I last saw an episode. Maybe covering just "noogies" or "loogies" would have worked better with the sparse lyrics at hand. The choruses worked nicely.
I didn't like this one, but you get all fives for telling the truth: Disco sucks. The ironies abound: Harris now plays a womanizer on "How I Met Your Mother" but has come out as gay, and in "The Bronx Is Burning," Max Casella -- and I did not recognize him at first, though I did notice his name in the credits -- played Yankee third base coach Dick... Howser!
