I liked the part about the Trojan Moose.
Nice- 555!!! As for animals during WW2 there are so many stories of the bizarre. Germany and Britain started with the 1940 Peregrine Falcon vs the Nazi spy pigeons, then there were the Russian and German dog mines. Russians killed theirs with a trip lever, the German dogs only placed charges and came back (many won the Iron Cross)! The Germans used White Shepherds in Tunisia as sniper scouts! Oskar the cat survived Bismarck sinking to be put aboard two British vessels that were sunk by U-boat; after that, they transferred him to land! Germans used elephants for moving artillery and military vehicles in Berlin. US had bat-bomb design and pigeon homing missile! US and Britain both air-dropped dogs! Japanese dropped plague rats over China. And both Italy and Germans had armored horse protoypes. Italy had theirs pre-war- the Iron Dobbin. Germans gave theirs up for an airborne scooter instead! And lastly there was the Donkeyfaust:
